International Vet Motocross Series

Event Program

Welcome to Arizona!

Welcome to our 21st Annual IVMX race for 2023 in our fantastic southwestern weather!  Thank you for making the trip.  We appreciate all of you who came to continue the tradition of Vet racers demonstrating how to have fun.  Enjoy yourself and be SAFE.  Remember, for most us, there are 5 substantial moto’s this weekend, so pace yourself.  Have fun, but ride within your limits and return home safely.  Don’t forget, you are in the desert and you need to stay hydrated.

This program was designed to cover everything you need to know about our event.  Look for the Check-In / Sign-Up booth when you enter the parking area. Stop by the tent and results board regularly during the weekend to see results, check for updates and get important information.  Club Rep names are posted along with some key International Rule updates.  Be sure to check the results board after Moto 1.  Depending upon the last minute entries,  there could be changes in race schedule or classes that may impact YOUR RACE.

Our Saturday dinner of pulled pork BBQ and some delicious sides is being served by Roedee’s BBQ. Additional dinners and food items are available for cash purchase – their menu is posted by his service area.  Dinner will be ready by 4:00 pm, just bring the meal ticket you got with your welcome bag and enjoy a delicious hot meal.  Tables and chairs are set up in the gathering tent for your convenience.  Help yourself to the beverages and desserts.

Saturday’s raffle will be held in the gathering tent after everyone has finished dinner.  You can bring your own chair and sit out in the surrounding area if you prefer to enjoy the cool AZ evening air.

Several businesses have generously provided support for this event.  Please consider going to them for parts and supplies - and say “thank you for supporting AZOTMX” while you’re there.  While everyone shops  on-line, we need to remember that it’s our local businesses who are there for us in real time, with options and immediately available products.  Our local businesses make motocross possible for all of us.  There’s nothing like walking out of a shop with exactly what we need (and what we just want) in our hands.

Again, Thank You for choosing to race with us at this, the first International race held at the new, reinvented Motoland mx track.  Our goal is for you to have an energizing, memorable weekend and return home with great memories, sore muscles and colorful stories to share.

Some Important Rules and Procedures to know and follow:

  • Regularly check the Results Board for the latest posting of important rules and changes.
  • All dogs must be on a leash, no matter how well trained and/or friendly. You are liable if your dog harms a person or another dog.
  • Please use the provided garbage receptacles to keep the park clean
  • No generators after 10pm – quiet time for everyone
  • Talk with your Club Representative with any concerns or complaints. A list of Club Rep’s is displayed at the sign-in and/or results board.
  • Do not bother the scorekeepers – go to your Rep.
  • When a yellow flag is displayed, there is no passing or jumping between the flag and the incident that caused the yellow flag.
  • If a rider leaves the track during a moto, they must safely re-enter the track as close to the point of exit as possible and without improvement of position.
  • Changing motorcycles during a moto requires that the Scorekeeper must be notified of plate number changes. This notification must be done prior to the moto where the different number is used. Failure to notify the Scorekeeper will result in finishing last in the moto.
  • Track watering is never popular. Every effort will be made to avoid watering prior to a Race that was previously affected by watering. A safety sighting lap will be offered after each track watering.
  • Be sure to remind your Starter to get your sight lap after a track watering.
  • Protests can only be lodged by riders in the same moto and must be lodged with the rider’s Club Rep, in writing, within 60 minutes after results are posted for the moto in question.
  • Decisions made by the presiding Riding Committee are final.

Abusive language or aggressive behavior toward race officials, scorers, volunteers or other racers will not be tolerated. Racers engaging in this type of behavior are subject to ejection from the event, their entry fees will not be refunded, and they will forfeit their points.
