First race of the Fall 2022 Series  -  9-25-22 at Canyon Talk about a “hot lap” … they were all hot!  The start of the AZOT Fall Series sure felt more like summer in the Valley!   But that didn’t stop 29 tough guys from showing up to race … and two of them even double classed.  After finishing his AZOT Expert class in Race 7, Troy Lang returned to the gate for Race 9 in the Vet Intermediate class.  Ditto for Rick Arnold – ran the AZOT Master class in Race 7, then Vet Open in Race 19.  And...

Another bunch of winners – and happy faces when they saw their trophies!  They all worked hard for their pay-off!   A  good time was had by all who showed up at Chuck and Kelly Johnson’s home for the Spring Awards Event.  Thanks for hosting us!!     Jasmine Phillips and Teresa Stewart put in countless hours to make it a very special event.  A big “thank you” to our new Events and Awards Team.    Their hard work paid off … coolers of iced beverages, EZ-Ups and plenty of tables and chairs made for the shaded bench-racing activity.   The sparkling, inviting...

Canyon on Sunday, February 22: First, a big “Thank You” to Linda Neil for taking some photos for our website – great job, Linda!!! Got a couple of good ones of Jeff and his favorite competitor, Darren, didn’t you! Even our Photographer Bonnie gets a day off now and then. The third Spring Series race at Canyon was a highly-charged practice event a week before the AZOT International where everyone gets unknown competition from across the Western US and Canada. AZOT International Race on February 26 - 27, 2022: Looks like the majority of people who raced in the 2022 AZOT International had a great experience and left on Sunday feeling like they definitely got their money’s worth. As with any event, there were some glitches and last minute surprises, but the energetic team of volunteers and Canyon track people worked together to keep the event moving smoothly and with some intense racing excitement. There were 131 total racers, 115 Old Timers, eight 30+ Vet and eight Support Under 30, in the different classes. Most classes finished three races on Saturday...
